Overview

The brief.

This social ad for the Google Pixel phone is designed to connect with a younger audience by featuring culturally relevant artists such as Nemzzz, Ashbeck, and BXKS. The video is set within natural, everyday environments, allowing the product to appear organically rather than being overtly promoted. The Google Pixel is shown in real-life scenarios, highlighting its intended use in an authentic and understated way. The campaign is complemented by a live activation event in Manchester, Nemzzz's hometown, adding credibility and reinforcing a genuine connection to the local youth culture.

The idea.

The social ad follows a "day in the life" format, director DIFTY, centred on Nemzzz as he moves through his day, linking up with friends and engaging in everyday activities. Shot through a gritty London aesthetic, the video captures familiar environments that resonate with the target audience, featuring culturally relevant artists and authentic social moments. The Google Pixel is used naturally throughout whether in transit, in-store, or during casual interactions demonstrating its functionality without overt focus. The overall tone is observational and immersive, allowing viewers to recognise themselves, their surroundings, and their culture within the narrative.
